Let’s Detect Kidney Disease Early!

  • Must be 18 years or older to participate
  • No need to fast
  • Drop by anytime during the scheduled hours.  No need to make a reservation.
  • Screenings are given on a first come, first served basis
Because kidney disease usually goes undetected, the disease can be causing damage for many years before being diagnosed. Without early treatment, kidney disease can progress to End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) which is PERMANENT kidney failure and can only be treated with dialysis or transplant.
The good news is that with EARLY TREATMENT, the progression of kidney disease can usually be slowed and in some cases, even prevented entirely!  That’s the whole idea behind the Texas Kidney Check free early screening program.  We have screenings on an ongoing basis so please check back to attend a screening near you!
