Hussein Musa, MD

Medical Advisory Board

Dr. Hussein Musa is a physician-leader and innovator who serves on the Medical Advisory Board of the Texas Kidney Foundation (TKF). Triple board-certified in Anesthesiology, Pain Medicine, and Addiction Medicine, Dr. Musa brings a rare, integrated perspective to chronic disease prevention and care. He is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Kingdom Healthcare System, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free primary care and chronic disease screenings to underserved communities, and Medical Director of the Kingdom Healing Institute, where he leads programs in pain management, regenerative medicine, and addiction recovery.

Dr. Musa’s career reflects a deep commitment to both clinical excellence and community health. He studied Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned his M.D. at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and trained at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital. He completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, where he continues to serve as an adjunct faculty member.

Through The Kingdom Healthcare System, Dr. Musa has pioneered a prevention-first model of care that combines neighborhood health fairs, free screenings, and direct access to ongoing clinical support—bypassing traditional barriers to healthcare. This model has created a trusted, community-driven pathway for early detection and chronic disease management. His leadership extends beyond the clinic: in 2024, he launched the Kingdom Campaign for Healthcare to expand this innovative approach statewide.

Appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas Chronic Kidney Disease Task Force, Dr. Musa is also recognized for his humanitarian service with awards such as the C.A. Whittier Society Humanitarian Award and the Black Business San Antonio Achievement Award. At TKF, he helps guide strategies that integrate advanced medical expertise with grassroots prevention, strengthening the Foundation’s mission to bring early detection, education, and hope to families across Texas.
