Pat Frost serves on the Advisory Committee to the President & CEO of the Texas Kidney Foundation (TKF), bringing decades of executive leadership, financial expertise, and civic vision to the Foundation’s mission. Widely recognized as one of San Antonio’s preeminent business and community leaders, Pat retired in 2023 after a distinguished 30-year tenure as President of Frost Bank, where he oversaw more than 3,000 employees and guided the company through historic growth to nearly $50 billion in assets.
Beyond banking, Pat is regarded as a civic architect who has shaped San Antonio’s identity through service in sports, healthcare, education, and economic development. He has chaired organizing committees for multiple NCAA Final Fours, guided San Antonio Sports and the Valero Alamo Bowl, and served as a longtime trustee of the San Antonio Medical Foundation and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital Foundation. His leadership has helped bring investment, jobs, and national visibility to the city.
Pat’s philanthropic work reflects a lifelong commitment to community health and resilience. Together with his wife, Dr. Kelley Frost, he has championed mental health and family wellness through initiatives like the Ecumenical Center and the Seeds of Hope therapeutic garden. Their shared philosophy of service underscores his belief that building strong financial and civic institutions goes hand in hand with building healthier families and communities.
At TKF, Pat’s experience in governance, philanthropy, and strategic growth strengthens the Foundation’s ability to expand its prevention-first mission across Texas. His guidance helps ensure that TKF remains both financially sound and community-rooted as it works to deliver screenings, education, and hope to Texans in need.
