Advisory Committee

Jane Macon serves on the Advisory Committee to the President & CEO of the Texas Kidney Foundation (TKF), bringing decades of legal expertise, civic leadership, and philanthropic service to the Foundation’s prevention-first mission. Best known as the first female City Attorney of San Antonio, Jane helped lead the city during a pivotal era, guiding the transition to single-member districts and shaping policies that expanded fair representation.

A nationally recognized attorney, Jane has built her career on public finance, public-private partnerships, real estate, and infrastructure development. Her legal and strategic guidance has been instrumental in major projects including the Rivercenter Mall, UTSA’s downtown campus, and Texas A&M San Antonio. She has also served on national and international boards, including as Chairperson of Siebert Financial Corp and trustee of the Muriel Siebert Foundation, and was appointed by the President of the United States to the Selective Service Appeal Board.

Jane’s civic and philanthropic contributions are equally distinguished. She has served on the boards of the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, After-School All-Stars, the Briscoe Western Art Museum, and Family Violence Prevention Services, reflecting her deep commitment to education, equity, and the arts. Her leadership has earned her numerous honors, including the International Citizen of the Year Award, the Outstanding 50-Year Lawyer Award from the Texas Bar Foundation, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the San Antonio Business Journal.
